Church planters are a different breed. They need a coach who understands the issues they face.
We'll teach you how to coach the person rather than the problem and give you some models that will help the planter process their most important issues!
Every topic a church planter brings to you is a matter of
for the survival of the new church.
A trained coach knows exactly how to help without becoming a church planting guru.
Having planted churches ourselves, we know the stress that comes when everything is started from scratch. We designed this class in consultation with one of the largest church planting organizations on the planet.
Coaching church planters has its own distinctions. Planters are fundraisers, recruiters, communicators, and more. In this class, CAM 513 - Coaching Church Planters, you will receive 16 hours of live training that provides coaching models and skills specific to coaching church planters.
The course will meet weekly for 8 sessions.

Feel confident as you start helping church planters navigate difficult issues!
Most church plants either have a know-it-all coach or no coach at all. The planters in these situations feel isolated and alone. They don't want to give any sense of fear or failure so they try to figure out everything on their own. The stress spills over into their marriage and soon enough the plant isn't the only thing in fear of failing.
But with a trained coach, the planter will feel the security of a confidential relationship. The planter will begin to stretch their thinking and learn how to see the issue from multiple perspectives. Stress will recede from the planter and be replaced with confidence and joy.
As mentioned above, each class meets once a week for eight weeks during ninety minute sessions. These meetings are conducted through online classroom-styled software (via Zoom). These will allow you to see other class participants, the instructor, and the instructor's screen throughout your sessions.
The classes are very interactive throughout, and regular homework will be assigned between sessions for your benefit.
Our coaching instructors are some of the leading Christian coaches in the world. They have written the books, created the classes, and led the way. Our coaching instructors are also experienced coaches who bring tons of real-world experience to the classroom.
We assume you know how to coach effectively, but we don't assume you're the world's greatest coach. If you haven't had any coach training (or haven't had sufficient coach training recently), our Foundations course (CAM 501) is a required pre-requisite to this class.
If you need to miss one of the class sessions, no worries! Each class session is recorded and you can access the recording within a day following the session. If your schedule requires you to miss several sessions, then you should look for another class that better fits your schedule.
For those who are new to coaching, are looking to improve, or are just out of practice, a pre-requisite course, CAM 501 - Foundations to Christian Coaching, is recommended before participating in Advanced Courses.
This course provides the basic foundation for understanding and practicing coaching.
Topics covered include:
You will finish the course ready and able to use coaching at a basic level as well as enroll in any of our Advanced Courses!
