Stephen Welsh, ECC, ACC

Stephen Welsh finds his greatest joy partnering with individuals to develop and sustain them in their unique identity, giftedness, and strengths. These days he has paired this passion with the transformational power of coaching. Stephen’s interest is in sustaining leaders in ministry and business, including through transition.

In the last 5 years Stephen has coached 102 people for a total of over 500 hours including high school and university students, educators, business professionals, small business owners, financiers, lawyers, architects, retirees, missionaries, and ministry leaders in Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, and the USA.

For 38 years, Stephen has developed and honed his leadership skills in construction. Following 20 years with John Holland he transitioned into client-side work with (Sydney) Anglican Schools Corporation, before entering the world of business ownership with EPM Projects then Advantage Project Services, plying his trade for the last 17 years in consulting project management and small business leadership. Stephen’s skills were further recognised in his appointment as the Director of Facilities at Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Sydney in 2021.

Stephen is a person of faith. His relationship with God spans over 46 years, providing the solid platform for his lived values and beliefs. Beginning his faith journey in the Congregational Church, these days he is a part of the elected leadership team at Narwee Baptist Church, having served in various leadership capacities in several churches over the last 34 years.

Stephen holds degrees in Building and Theology, and a diploma in Project Management. He is an Executive Christian Coach (ECC), an Associate Coach with The Future Leader Group, and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). He is also an Accredited Mental Health Aider (MHFA), Accredited Strengths Profile Practitioner (Certificate No: 1965), and a Certified MBTI® Step I™ and Step II™ Practitioner.

He is married to Rachel, has two adult daughters, and three grandchildren.

Executive Christian Coaches (ECC)

Our Executive Christian Coach (ECC) Certificate is an advanced curriculum designed for coaches looking for the next level of training.

The ECC Certification includes the core CCLC curriculum as well as additional courses and training to provide you with both foundational and advanced coaching skills – you will finish our training with a skill set capable of coaching on any topic: transition, leadership, career, faith formation, or any other coaching niche you can imagine.

Once completed, the ECC Certification also serves as a great start to completing ICF’s Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Certification.
